Abstract

In October 2019, the city of Ternate experienced inflation of 0.01 percent with the consumer price index (CPI) of 140.32. Of 82 (eighty two) CPI cities, 43 (forty three) cities experienced inflation and 39 (seventy nine) cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Manado City at 1.22 percent. The highest deflation occurred in Balikpapan City by 0.69 percent.
Ternate City inflation is 1.45 percent and Ternate's year-on-year inflation is 2.52 percent. If sorted Ternate City is ranked 43rd from cities experiencing inflation.
In October 2019, Ternate experienced inflation in five expenditure groups and deflation in two expenditure groups. The groups that experienced inflation were processed foods, beverages, cigarettes & tobacco by 0.20 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas & fuel group by 0.29 percent; clothing group by 0,28 percent; the health group by 0.04 percent and the education, recreation & sports group by 0.04 percent.
The deflation group was the foodstuffs group at 0.48 percent and the transportation, communication & financial services group at 0.32 percent.
