Abstract

In November 2020, Ternate City experienced inflation of 0.78 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.31. Of the 90 CPI cities, 83 cities experienced inflation and 7 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Kota Tual at 1.15 percent and the lowest inflation occurred in Kota Bima at 0.01 percent. Meanwhile, the highest deflation occurred in Kendari with 0.22 percent and the lowest was in Meulaboh and Palopo at 0.01 percent.

The inflation rate for the calendar year November 2020 (November 2020 against December 2019) is 1.42 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (November 2020 against November 2019) is 1.66 percent.

In November 2020, Ternate City experienced inflation at four groups of expenditures, deflation in three groups of expenditures and four groups of stagnant expenditure. Groups that experienced inflation were the Food, Beverage and Tobacco group at 1.42 percent; Equipment, Appliances and Household Routine Maintenance group of 0.03 percent; the Transportation group of 3.06 percent; and the Recreation, Sports and Culture group by 0.10 percent. The group that experienced deflation were the housing, water, electricity and household fuels group at 0.05 percent; the Health group of 0.17 percent; and the Personal Care and Other Services group by 0.11 percent. While the Clothing and Footwear group; Information, Communication and Financial Services group; Education group; and the Food and Beverage / Restaurant Providers group did not experience a change in index (stagnant)
