THE ECONOMY OF NORTH MALUKU IN QUARTER II-2019 GROWING 7.49 PERCENT

Abstract

The economy of North Maluku in the second quarter of 2019 based on the amount of the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices reached Rp. 9 826, 97 billion and at the base of constant prices in 2010 reached Rp. 6 591.92 billion.

The economy of North Maluku in quarter II-2019 compared to quarter II-2018 (y-on-y) grew by 7.49 percent. From the production side, growth was driven by all business fields, with the highest growth being achieved by the Construction Business Field which grew by 9.76 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth was achieved by the Foreign Export Component, which grew by 33.76 percent.

The economy of North Maluku quarter II-2019 compared to the previous quarter (q-to-q) increased by 1.84 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth in the Field of Government Administration, Defense and Compulsory Social Security is 7.90 percent. While in terms of expenditure, the highest growth was in the Gross Fixed Capital Formation Component of 36.25 percent.

The economy of North Maluku in the first half of 2019 (c-to-c) grew 7.59 percent. From the production side, growth was driven by all business fields, with the highest growth being in the Manufacturing Industry Business Field which grew by 12.71 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth was achieved by the Foreign Export Component, which grew by 45.70 percent.
