Abstract

North Maluku Province Consumer Tendency Index (ITK) in quarter III-2019 was 98.08, meaning that the economic condition of consumers declined compared to the previous quarter. The level of consumer optism in quarter III-2019 was lower compared to the previous quarter (index value of 128.76).

The decline in economic conditions felt by consumers in the third quarter of 2019 was driven by a decrease in household income with an index value of 99.44 and a decrease in the volume of consumption of goods / services with an index value of 95.81. And purchasing power as seen from the inflation influence index influences the level of consumption with an index value of 97.34.

The North Maluku Province's ITK value in the fourth quarter of 2019 is estimated at 103.84, meaning that the economic condition of consumers in the coming quarter is expected to increase.

The improvement in economic conditions in quarter IV-2019 was due to an estimated increase in household income with an index value of 102.27 and a plan to purchase durable goods with an index value of 106.59.
