Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is the comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).

NTP is an indicator to see the level of ability / purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the terms of trade of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs. The higher the NTP, the relatively strong the level of ability / purchasing power of farmers.

In January 2021, the Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) of North Maluku Province was 98.93 or an increase of 1.45 percent compared to the previous month (December 2020) which was 97.52.

Nationally, the NTP for January 2021 was 103.26, which had an increase of 0.01 percent compared to the NTP in December 2020, which was 103.25.

In January 2021, there was an increase in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in North Maluku by 0.20 percent, while at the national level there was an increase in the IKRT of 0.44 percent.
