Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is the comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).

NTP is an indicator to see the level of ability / purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the terms of trade of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs. The higher the NTP, the relatively strong the level of ability / purchasing power of farmers.

In December 2020, the North Maluku Province Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) was 97.52 or an increase of 0.99 percent when compared to the previous month (November 2020) which was 96.56.

Nationally, the NTP for December 2020 was 103.25, which increased by 0.37 percent compared to the NTP for November 2020, which was 102.86.

In December 2020, there was an increase in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in North Maluku by 0.66 percent, while at the national level there was an increase in the IKRT of 0.58 percent.

The Exchange Rate of Agricultural Household Enterprises (NTUP) in North Maluku Province in December 2020 was 99.23 or an increase of 1.57 percent compared to NTUP in the previous month (November 2020) which was 97.70.
