July 2019, Ternate City experienced a deflation of 0.12 percent

Abstract

In July 2019, the city of Ternate experienced a deflation of 0.12 percent with a consumer price index (CPI) of 140.81. From 82 CPI cities, 55 cities experienced inflation and 27 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Sibolga City at 1.88 percent. The highest deflation occurred in Tual Pandan City at 1.55 percent.

Ternate City inflation was 1.81 percent and Ternate's year on year inflation was 2.71 percent. If sorted Ternate City is ranked 18th from the city experiencing deflation.

In July 2019, Ternate experienced inflation in three expenditure groups, deflation in two expenditure groups and one stagnant group. The groups that experienced inflation were processed foods, beverages, cigarettes & tobacco by 0.03 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas & fuel group by 0.16 percent; the clothing group by 0.08 percent and the education, recreation & sports group by 0.03 percent. The deflation group was the foodstuffs group at 0.78 percent and the transportation, communication & financial services group at 0.14 percent. The health group is stagnant.
