Abstract

The increase in the 2024 North Maluku Human Development Index occurred in all dimensions, both longevity and healthy living, knowledge, and decent living standards. The growth of the 2024 North Maluku Human Development Index accelerated from the previous year.

In the dimension of longevity and healthy living, babies born in 2024 have the hope of living up to 71.05 years, 0.29 years longer than those born in the previous year. The data source for life expectancy at birth uses the results of having the hope of living up to 71.05 years, 0.29 years longer than those born in the previous year. In the knowledge dimension, in 2024 children aged 7 years have the hope of enjoying formal education for 13.75 years. This figure increased by 0.01 years compared to the previous year which reached 13.74 years. In addition, the average length of schooling for the population aged 25 years and over also increased by 0.11 years, from 9.26 years in 2023 to 9.37 years in 2024. The HLS and RLS data sources use the March Susenas results, with the expectation of enjoying formal education for 13.75 years.
