The poverty rate for Maluku Utara in September 2020 was 6.97 percent.

·  The number of poor people in Maluku Utara in September 2020 was 87.52 thousand people (6.97 percent), an increase of around 1.15 thousand people compared to the poor in March 2020 which amounted to 86.37 thousand people (6.78 percent).

·  The percentage of poor people in urban areas in September 2020 was 5.03 percent, an increase of 0.50 points compared to March 2020 which was 4.53 percent. Meanwhile, the percentage of poor people in rural areas in September 2020 increased by 0.04 points to 7.74 percent compared to March 2020 which was 7.70 percent.

·  The poverty line in September 2020 was IDR 469,596 or an increase of around six thousand nine hundred and fifty-seven rupiah (1.50 percent) compared to the condition in March 2020 which was IDR 462,639.

·  In the period March - September 2020, the poverty depth index (P1) experienced a slight increase from 0.937 in March 2020 to 1.090 in September 2020. The poverty severity index (P2) also decreased from 0.206 in March 2020 to 0.234 in September 2020.
