Abstract

In March 2020, the level of expenditure disparity in North Maluku's population as measured by the Gini Ratio was 0.308, down by 0.002 points from the September 2019 condition of 0.310. This shows that the level of expenditure inequality in the Province of North Maluku is getting lower. • The Gini Ratio in North Maluku Province is the 4th lowest out of 34 Provinces in Indonesia. The province with the lowest inequality is Bangka Belitung Province, while the province with the highest inequality is Yogyakarta Special Region Province. • The Gini Ratio in urban areas in March 2020 was 0.297, down 0.006 points compared to the September 2019 Gini Ratio of 0.303. While the Gini Ratio in rural areas in March 2020 was 0.266, up 0.008 points compared to the September 2019 Gini Ratio of 0.258.
