Abstract

The rice harvest area in 2020 is estimated at 10,608 hectares, a decrease of 1,093 hectares or a decrease of 9.3 percent compared to 2019 which amounted to 11,701 hectares.
Rice production in 2020 is estimated at 42,778 tons of GKG, an increase of 4,833 tons or an increase of 12.74 percent compared to 2019 which amounted to 37,946 tons of GKG. This is due to an increase in productivity from 32.43 quintal / hectare in 2019 to 40.33 quintal / hectare in 2020 or an increase of 7.90 quintal / hectare (24.35%).
If the potential for rice production in 2020 is converted into rice for food consumption for the population, rice production in 2020 is estimated at 23,816 tons, an increase of 2,691 tons or an increase of 12.7 percent compared to 2019 which amounted to 21,125 tons.
