Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) against the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability / purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange power (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs. The higher the FTT, the relatively stronger the level of farmers' ability / purchasing power.
In May 2020, the Farmers Exchange Rate (NTP) of North Maluku Province was 96.08 or an increase of 0.22 percent when compared to the previous month (April 2020) which was 95.87.
Nationally, the May 2020 NTP of 99.47 decreased by 0.85 percent compared to the April 2020 NTP of 100.32.
In May 2020, there was a decrease in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in North Maluku by 0.41 percent, while at the national level there was a decrease in the IKRT by 0.07 percent.
The Exchange Rate of Agriculture Household Business (NTUP) of North Maluku Province in May 2020 was 96.57, down 0.18 percent compared to NTUP the previous month (April 2020) which was 96.75.
