Abstract

1. Export Development

North Maluku Province's export value in April 2020 was US $ 36.36 million, reducing 32.61 percent decrease compared to March 2020 which was valued at US $ 53.95 million.

North Maluku's exports in April 2020 consisted of iron and steel goods (HS 72) to China and South Korea.

Cumulatively, North Maluku exports in January - April 2020 amounted to US $ 166.97 million, an increase of a decrease of 27.90 percent compared to the January-April 2019 period which amounted to US $ 231.57 million.

Cumulatively, the export volume of North Maluku from January to April 2020 was 387.94 thousand tons, a decrease of 89.10 percent compared to January-April 2019 which amounted to 3,558.79 thousand tons.  The value of Indonesia's exports in April 2020 reached US $ 12.19 billion, down 13.33 percent compared to exports in March 2020. Also when compared with April 2019 it fell 7.02 percent.

Cumulatively, the value of Indonesia's exports from January to April 2020 reached US $ 53.98 billion, up 0.44 percent compared to the same period in 2019.

2. Import Development

The importance of North Maluku Province in April 2020 was US $ 120.78 million, reducing the decline of 34.75 percent compared to March 2020 which was valued at US $ 185.11 million.

North Maluku's import volume in April 2020 was 68.83 thousand tons or exceeded a decrease of 43.70 percent from March 2020 which amounted to 122.25 thousand tons.

In April 2020, North Maluku Province launched 32 classes of goods with important value in the Mechanical Machinery / Aircraft (HS 84) group which was purchased at US $ 56.67 million.

Important items from North Maluku in April 2020 were released from China, Russia, Singapore and Vietnam.

The value of North Maluku imports in January-April 2020 was US $ 529.27 million, an increase of 343.88 percent compared to January-April 2019 which generated US $ 119.24 million.

North Maluku's import volume from January to April 2020 was 358.66 thousand tons, an increase of 77.98 percent compared with the same period in 2019.

The importance of Indonesia in April 2020 reached US $ 12.54 billion, down 6.10 percent from March 2020. It can also be compared to April 2019, up 18.58 percent.
