Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) against the price index paid by farmers (Ib).

NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability / purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange power (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs. The higher the FTT, the relatively stronger the level of farmers' ability / purchasing power.

In April 2020, Farmer Exchange Rates (NTP) of North Maluku Province amounted to 95.87 or decreased 2.50 percent when compared to the previous month (March 2020) which amounted to 98.33.

Nationally, the April 2020 NTP of 100.32 also decreased compared to the NTP of March 2020 which amounted to 102.09 or decreased by 1.73 percent.

In April 2020, there was an increase in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in North Maluku by 0.28 percent, while at the national level there was an increase in the IKRT by 0.11 percent.

The Exchange Rate of Agriculture Household Business (NTUP) of North Maluku Province in April 2020 was 96.75 or decreased 2.37 percent compared to NTUP the previous month (March 2020) which amounted to 99.10.
